Intriguing Contests on Kwesé Sports this Weekend

Mixed martial arts (MMA) has taken the world by storm in the past few years, and one of the reasons is that it's very hard to predict a winner. Even the best fighters will lose the odd encounter - caught out by a well-aimed punch, or back of the neck choke hold. On Saturday (KS1, 4 November at 21:00 CAT) catch EFC 65 LIVE from Carnival City as 'Champion' Dalcha Lungiambula (from the DRC) takes on England's Stuart 'He-Man' Austin for the Light Heavyweight title. Both fighters are talking themselves up, but one will be left eating...or rather choking on his words.

There is less uncertainty in our other big fight: Bivol vs Broadhurst (KS2, 4 November at 21:00 CAT), which is also a Championship Light Heavyweight contest, but this time boxing. Bivol is the WBA champion and is highly rated by critics for his punching power in both hands. The Australian Broadhurst will have a tough time mixing it up with the talented Russian.

There's loads of football action this weekend, including our Premier League Match of the Day encounter between Newcastle and Bournemouth (KFS, 4 November at 17:00 CAT). Bournemouth are struggling at second-bottom in the log, but no doubt will rise to the action when they take on mid-table Newcastle. Fans of English football will also want to catch the Manchester City replay of their UEFA Champions League clash with Napoli. It was a cracker that produced no fewer than six goals, and you can see it on Kwesé Free Sports (KFS, 4 November at 12:55 CAT), courtesy Man City TV. And there's also LIVE EFL Championship action this Sunday with Middlesbrough taking on Sunderland (KS1, 5 November at 14:15 CAT) and Brentford up against Leeds (KS1, 5 November at 16:15 CAT).

No-one covers American sports like Kwesé, and along with our partners ESPN we bring you NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB. NBA is big in Africa, what with the many Africans who ply their trade, and make millions, playing basketball in the US. This weekend catch our 'NBA Sunday' game - Cleveland Cavaliers vs Atlanta Hawks (KFS, 5 November at 22:00 CAT). When the Cavs play invariably LeBron James hogs the limelight. But the Hawks have a star of their own in baby-faced Dennis Schroder. The Hawks Point Guard was raised German but is of Gambian heritage. At 23 he has a very bright future in the NBA - let's see how he fares against King James.

We also have two big NFL games on Sunday: Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions (KS2, 5 November at 20:00 CAT) and Dallas Cowboys vs Kansas City Chiefs (KS2, 5 November at 23:00 CAT). Sunday football is in an institution in America, so tune into these two massive encounters and discover what it's all about.

And that's just some of the awesome contests we have for you on Kwesé Sports. Check out the Kwesé TV Guide for more information.
