Catch all four legs of the Copa del Rey Semifinals, LIVE on Kwesé Sports.

It must be a scary business if you’re a defender playing against Barcelona. Seeing Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez rushing at you with the ball at their feet must send shivers down the spines of even the stoutest back four. Last week the two strikers delivered for Barcelona, seeing off an Espanyol challenge in their Copa del Rey second-leg quarterfinal clash. In the process Barcelona celebrated their 4,000th goal at Camp Nou, and who better to score it in than the Argentine phenomenon – Lionel Messi.

Not only did the Catalans secure a spot in the Copa del Rey semifinals (which you can follow LIVE on Kwesé Sports), but they also took the opportunity to give Philippe Coutinho his first run in Barca colours. In football’s second-most expensive transfer ever (€120 M), the Brazilian midfield playmaker recently made the move from Liverpool. While Barca will go into the semifinals boasting football avatars for players, the other three teams (Valencia, Sevilla and Leganes) must settle for putting mere mortals on the park.

The good news is that you can catch both legs of the Copa del Rey semifinals LIVE on Kwesé Sports. The first leg sees Leganes (who beat cross-city rivals Real Madrid in the quarters) host Sevilla. Look out for Steven Nzonzi, Sevilla’s lanky midfielder who has made a strong impact in the competition thus far. Nzonzi, who plays for France, traces his heritage to the DRC. Don’t miss Leganes vs Sevilla (Kwesé Sports 1 & Kwesé Free Sports, 31 January at 22:30 CAT).

In the next semifinal Barcelona host Valencia. If anyone is going to upset the defending champions, it’s probably Valencia. But to do so they will need standout performances from their defenders. The likes of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Ruben Vezo and Toni Lato will have to be at their best. And if their goalkeeper, Brazil’s Neto, has a good game under the crossbar, Valencia could surprise Barca on the counter. Don’t miss: Barcelona vs Valencia (Kwesé Sports 1, 1 February at 22:30 CAT).

And then next week it’s the second leg: Sevilla vs Leganes (Kwesé Sports 1 & Kwesé Free Sports, 7 February at 21:00 CAT); Valencia vs Barcelona (Kwesé Sports 1, 8 February at 22:30 CAT). Which all adds up to plenty of good reasons to join the Kwesé family and subscribe to Kwesé TV.
