Swansea City have shown some backbone over the last couple of months, and won’t be pushovers when they travel to league-leaders Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea are eight points clear at the top of the Premier League and are through to the FA Cup quarter-finals following their 2-0 victory over Wolves. That makes the Blues the overwhelming favourites to collect another three points at the Stamford Bridge fortress this weekend.

However, they would do well to treat the Swans with respect, especially following the Welsh team's revival after a horrible period in their season between August and December, when they went winless in 11 consecutive matches and found themselves at the foot of the standings.

Swansea have won four of their last eight matches since 31 December 2016 , which include the scalp of champions Leicester City and a famous 3-2 victory over Liverpool at Anfield.

Swansea were also the first team to take points off Chelsea this season, when Antonio Conte's men needed a late equaliser to grab a point in Wales. This is why the Chelsea manager is not underestimating their 15-placed opposition.

"If someone thinks the Swansea game is easy, they make a great mistake," the Chelsea manager said after the match against Wolves.

Chelsea, though, still boast enough firepower to get the job done against Swansea, with striker Diego Costa and attacking midfielder Eden Hazard enjoying stellar seasons after a lean spell during their previous campaign.

Chelsea haven't lost a match since their 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on 4 January. The Blues have won six of their last eight matches.
