You know the road racing season has truly got going when De Ronde van Vlaanderen comes around… and you can watch it LIVE on Sunday, 2 April on Kwesé Sports 1.

De Ronde van Vlaanderen (aka Tour of Flanders) is one of the five ‘monuments’ of cycling, the five most revered one-day races, together with Milano-Sanremo (which Kwesé Sports broadcast last month), Paris-Roubaix, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Giro di Lombardia.

This year will be the 101st edition of Vlaanderens Mooiste (Dutch for ‘Flanders' Finest’), which has been an institution since 1913 but for a four-year interruption during World World I.

The 250km race which starts in Bruges and finishes in Oudenaarde is renowed for the difficulty of its iconic cobbled climbs, namely Oude Kwaremont, Koppenberg and Paterberg. Also, uniquely, six men have won the race a record three times… however Tom Boonen has delayed his retirement long enough to make one final attempt at claiming it for himself (as he will do at Paris-Roubaix a week later).

Watch Kwesé Sports 1 to see if the Belgian will do so, or if the likes of defending champion Peter Sagan, Michal Kwiatkowksi or Greg van Avermaet can write their names into the annals of this storied race.

The De Ronde van Vlaanderen will be Live on Kwesé Sports 1 on 2 April from 12:15 (CAT).
