Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare has hailed midfielder Wilfred Ndidi?s performance in his side?s 2-0 Premier League victory over Stoke City on Saturday.

Ndidi made a massive impact, netting an absolute scorcher from over 25 yards out in the 25th minute. It was the Nigeria international?s first English Premier League goal and gave the Foxes a crucial 1-0 lead.

Jamie Vardy doubled the lead two minutes before the half-time whistle, volleying home his ninth goal of the season in emphatic fashion.

?[Ndidi] is young and we don?t want to put too much pressure on him. He?s a humble boy and reminds [me] a lot of Kante with his personality,? Shakespeare told BBC Sport.

?[The] first goal was always going to be crucial and what a goal it was. Ndidi has done that before. He?s got that in his locker.?

Leicester City welcome Sunderland to the King Power Stadium for their next English top-flight encounter on Tuesday.
